The Factors’ Analysis Affecting The Development Of Forestry Professional Cooperatives In Shandong Province

After collective forest right system reform in Shandong province, the provincial ForestryCooperatives have developed rapidlly,and have become the new rural construction in ruraleconomic prosperity、promoting the main force of the urbanization process and increasingfarmers’ income. Although Shandong province Forestry Cooperatives have started lately andproblems have appeared frequently in the process of the development, the number of theprovincial Forestry Cooperatives continue to increase and operation scale expands. ForestryCooperatives broadly belong to the category of Agricultural Cooperatives, but they have theirown characteristics: high risk management as well as the social public welfare, so there maybe different in the research.The current study is not particularly for forestry cooperatives andagricultural cooperatives research on relatively are more, so there are a lot of reference on thestudy of forestry cooperatives.In order to explore the factors affecting the development of the current ForestryCooperatives in Shandong province and present situation of the current cooperatives’development, this article selects some Forestry Cooperatives in many cities in Shandongprovince as the research object. At first the form of questionnaire and visiting to the forestrycooperatives was carried on the detailed investigation, and we processed the survey data bythe principal components analysis and Logistic regression statistics analysis method. Finallythis article gets the following conclusion:(1) Although the Forestry Cooperatives in Shandong province start lately, from the point ofquantity and scale, the province’s Forestry Cooperative team is growing. According tostatistics, the number of the provincial Forestry Cooperatives account（accounts） for thenational Forestry Cooperatives number one over ten, which indicates that the development ofForestry Cooperatives is more and more important for the government and has becomehotspot in the field of current forestry. The provincial Forestry Cooperative developmentembodies in the following aspects: the operating scale of forestry cooperatives is expandingconstantly and assets are rapidly accumulating. The assets of the forestry cooperativeinvestigated have greatly improved from the previous year; How many industries in the field of development,the current Forestry Cooperatives in the development of many other industries penetration,formed much dominated by the forestry industry common development situation, thanks tothe current agroforestry is becoming a hot spot of many scholars research; Investmentincreased gradually, with the expansion of the scale of forestry cooperatives, cooperativeincreasing demand for raw materials, technology and capital, urgent need more contributionsto join them, realize forestry cooperatives further development; Membership satisfactionconstantly improve, after studied and analyzed the factors influencing the membership degreeof satisfaction, on the basis of predecessors’ research are summarized, some factors affectmain members has its characteristics, cooperative factors, external environmental factors,including membership itself characteristics including age, education, gender, etc., thecooperative factor scale of operation, service ability and economic benefit, managementmechanism and leadership qualities, external environment factors including government,market, technology and other factors.(2) This article applies the method of statistical analysis to study the factors affecting thedevelopment of the current Forestry Cooperatives in Shandong province. The followingconclusions are that cooperative organization factors are the main factors affecting thedevelopment of the current Forestry Cooperatives, followed by their own characteristics, andcooperative external environment is the least on the influence factors of the cooperativedevelopment. The cooperative organization factors include members and President of thecultural level, institutional Settings, articles of association and other factors. The cooperativeitself characteristics include registered capital, scale factor and so forth.These factors are themain factors affecting the development of the provincial Forestry Cooperatives, because thecurrent forestry cooperatives on government support and funding sources are basically in thesame condition, making smaller the influence degree of the external environment, and it alsohighlights the current Forestry Cooperatives to the government’s policy support and fundingsupport.
