| Since reform and opening up, Chnia’s medical industry developed very quickly. Ithas become one of the faster growing industry in the national economy. But it doesn’tmean that the situation of its development is positive. Domestically, it is clearly thatmost of the companies are in poor quality, are big but not strong enough, and arealways in a poor ability of innovation. In terms of international,more and more bigmedical enterprises transfer its strategies and attempt to share the Chinese marketclearly. There is no doubt that it will enhance the intense of the competition of Chinesemedical care industry. Therefore,domestic pharmaceutical industry have to consider thetwo following questions: in the first place, how to survive from the war withoutgunpower smoke by the domestic medical companies; in the second place, how tomaximize its profits by the suvivors to realize its business purpose. In order to solvethe two problems,the author gives the following solution: Improve the efficiency of theoperation of a company→Improve the competitive strength of the company→Maximize the profit to realize the business purpose. This article considers that it isnecessary to measure the operational efficiency of the present domestic companiesscientifically. And then, this article analyzes the factors which may affect the efficy tofind ways to improve the level of the operation of a company. It is not only beneficialfor a company to know its operating conditions and improve its operation andmanagement level to enhance its competitive ability,but also has a reference value fora investors to grasp the definitive industry information to rational allocate its capital. Inaddition, this article is also good for the related industry management departments toformulate reasonable policies to promote the development of the industry.Firstly, this article chooses162listed medical companies as samples to calculatethe efficiencies between2008to2012. The measurement results show that: First, theoverall technical efficiency of the samples was in an average level and the DEAefficient companies were rarely, but the number of the companies was increased yearby year; Second, the overall pure technical efficiency of the sample companies was in ahigh level, but there were signs of decline; Third, the overall scale efficiency of the samples was increased year by year, but the number of the companies whose producewas decreasing was increasing. And then, this paper uses the values of the technicalefficiencies, pure technical efficiencies and scale efficiencies which were obtained bythe previous steap to be the explained variable, and chooses the possibly affectingfactors to make the Tobit model to make Regression analysis. The results showthatresults shows that:only GDP,SCALE were significant to the three kinds ofefficiency;FC is significant only on the SCALE efficiency;TC and DEB are in theopposite effcets on the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency,but the effectionis not significant and its impact on the technical efficiency is a significant negativeimpact.Finally, this paper gives some Suggestions which is based on the empiricalresults and the actual developing condition of the medical industry. |
