During the process of China’s rapid urbanization, it is in a high level that the development of economy demands for the development land. The expanding of the development land gradually occupied ecological space. So, the contradiction between human and land will be inevitable growing. As a result, it’s a security threat to the sustainable development of our country’s land. Therefore, how to achieve sustainable development will still be an important subject.Under this background, this paper takes Zhejiang province as an example with the guidance of the theory of sustainable development and the new urbanization. This paper analyzes the situation and problems of Zhejiang Province’s land use since the enactment of the Law of land management in1999. Then, the analysis found that development land cannot be sustainably developing under the current development mode of the development land with the method of sustainable evaluation. When the mode of development land use turns into the mode of intensive and sustainable land use, and the efficiency of land use improves with tapping the current land, control the area of the development land, optimize the incremental supply, then, Zhejiang province’s development land will be able to satisfy the sustainable development of land for urbanization.This article analyzes the different developing situation of the development land through quantitative model such as the econometric model, index ration analysis methods. It wants to explore the sustainable development path of Zhejiang province and demonstrate its feasibility through the sustainable analysis.Finally, combined with the actual situation of Zhejiang Province, this paper makes some suggestions according to the research.
