Since the financial crisis, profound changes have taken place in the internationaleconomic situation. The word economy is subject to different degrees of slowingdown in growth with demand declining. The trade protection policy is generallyimplemented by countries to protect their own industries which have greatlyinfluenced domestic business enterprise. Besides, with the domestic economic growthrate slowing down and the investment in infrastructure decreasing, China’s importdemand for resources, energy and other related products has plummeted which has theiron and steel industry bear the brunt. HX group, as a comprehensive business groupwhich deals with mainly iron ore trade, has been affected greatly by the financialcrisis, with business management in difficulty. Facing the changing circumstances,HX group is in urgent need of finding a new path of development.This paper summarizes the research at home and abroad, on the basis of theindustrial chain, strategic management and international trade theory, the HX groupdevelopment status and the external environment are analyzed, drawing on theexperience similar to the successful transformation of commercial enterprises at homeand abroad, made HX specific path and safeguards the Group restructuring in order toprovide guidance for the HX group transformation, similar to the transformation ofdomestic business enterprises to provide reference.Analysis indicates that the current domestic and foreign markets are familiar withHX Group, has a large trade expertise and customer resources, good corporate imageand government resources as well as the front and rear end of the chain has theadvantage of a number of enterprises, but it also faces backward management system,business objectives not clear, resources are not fully integrated value chain is short,small and large business risk for development of a disadvantage in the face of the deterioration of the international trade environment, external threats to the steelindustry under severe overcapacity, enterprises should seize the sustainabledevelopment of China’s economy and the advance of urbanization will bring hugemarket space, followed by the adjustment of national industrial policy, to seize theopportunity, rapid transformation. Successful transformation of the domestic andforeign business enterprise research shows that there are three commercial enterprisetransformation path to go: First, there are broad prospects for investment intoemerging industries; Second, the original main industry trade industry-based view,forward and backward extend the industrial chain, to become integrated businessenterprise; Third, the transition from commercial enterprises to become the serviceprovider of supply chain management, optimize the allocation of resources by theleading global supply chain, to upgrade business model. Combined with the actualHX group, which has " to diversify the road to comprehensive trade enterprisetransformation " and " take the professional road, transition to supply chainmanagement service providers" two viable path, in order to ensure smoothimplementation of the restructuring, the Group should take the following measures:First, strengthen strategic management, good strategic planning; Second is tostrengthen the concept of risk, risk prevention; Third, cultivate corporate culture, tocreate a learning organization; Fourth, vigorously expand the market and promotemarket diversification; five is the integration of enterprise resources, enhance theircore competitiveness; Sixth, strengthen the human resources management andimprove operational efficiency.
