Knowledge employees are the core resource and soul of enterprises, which play an essential role in the development of companies. But a critical issue that many enterprise have to face is how to motivate the knowledge workers effectively and make full use of the current incentive mechanism. The basic objective that carrying out the incentive mechanism is to drive motivation of knowledge employees in a right path and fulfill their self-realization as well as the company’s goal simultaneously. However, with the restriction of the traditional operating system of the state-owned enterprises, there are still a lot of problems in the incentive mechanism, especially overlooking the internal demand of the knowledge workers. It will obviously lead to inefficiency of the incentive mechanism, even will cause some pessimistic effects on the company. And the state-owned enterprises will not develop in a harmonious way for lacking of a sound, scientific and systematic incentive mechanism. Therefore, it is very necessary to research on the incentive mechanism of knowledge workers in the state-owned enterprises in a scientific way.The research object of the essay is about the company A, which is known as a knowledge-incentive enterprise including research, development as well as designing and manufacturing in the high-tech equipment manufacturing industry. Guided by the high and new technology, it is the core strength of the development of high-level equipment manufacturing industry to attract managerial personnel, to stimulate the innovation of the talents as well as to own the talents with professional skills. Thus, it is the essential factor of the core competence of modern enterprise to stimulate the innovation and enthusiasm of the knowledge-employees and to realize their potential for the sustainable development of the company.Based on the incentive theories, the essay would like to analyze the problems in the current incentive mechanism of knowledge workers by using the method of questionnaire survey in company A. And then, the essay puts forward specific improved measures in order to solve the main problems of current incentive mechanism of knowledge workers in company A on the principle of systematic, fairness and diversity, which include various solutions such as compensation incentive, performance incentive, rewards and punishment and occupation training incentive. The purpose of the essay is to search for an effective and scientific incentive model so as to alter the current incentive status of knowledge employees in company A, to stimulate their wisdom and potential as well as to combine the development of individuals with the whole company, which will fulfill the mutual promotion and create a win-win situation for both knowledge workers and the company A.
