With the continuous development of economic globalization, IT,information technology is also accelerating its process.As the forms of international trade development are constantly changing, the focus of national economic competitiveness is gradually transformed from the past service trade to goods service, and the outsourcing has become a new forms of trade in the brand new round of industrial transfer. As the IT industry is a high-tech leading industry, so not only it plays a major role in the process of economic globalization, but also got attention from more and more countries. In recent years,outsourcing services are welcomed by many developing countries. By undertaking IT outsourcing from Europe and other developed countries,it improved the core competitiveness of enterprises and promoted the economic development.Indian,Known as the " world office",has gained the world’s attention because of its rapid development in IT industry in the past few decades. Nowadays it is the world’s largest IT outsourcing contracting country. The same as India,China is one of the developing countries that has large populous,and also a member of the BRIC countries, Learning the successful experiences from Indian IT outsourcing has important and practical significance to further promotion of IT service outsourcing in China.This paper starts from the basic theory and the theory of information related to service outsourcing industry, and then gives a brief description of the concept of outsourcing, also elaborated on the background and status of India’s IT service outsourcing industry, successful practices and advanced experience, finally obtains some enlightenment of revelation in IT industry. At present, China is in a critical period of economic transition, learning from the advanced experience of India’s IT outsourcing industry, will play an important role in our adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure of China’s economy.
