| As Chinese Communist Party aims at serving the people wholeheartedly, andpeople-orientation is the core of Scientific Outlook on Development, focusing on people’slivelihood and improving people’s livelihood have always been the long-lasting pursuit of TheChinese Communist Party. To deepen the reform and push the transformation of economicdevelopment pattern, the key point is improving the livelihood, has become the main rhythm ofthis age. Government Work Report of2014, Keqiang Li clearly pointed out that the we shouldseek the impetus of economic development from a deeper reform, and the basic goal shouldalways be improving people’s livelihood. This important strategic plan corresponds to the Law ofthe socialist economic construction and shows that the object of socialist production has such acharacteristic, as focusing on people all the time. Since the reform and opening-up policy, ourcountry has gained a rapid development in economy.The overall GDP of China rose to the world’ssecond, which also means our country has entered a new era in an all-around way. However, wealso realized that the traditional economic development pattern in China, which based on thesequence of exportation-investment-consumption, has such a unit-resource consumption rate thatis far over the world’s average level. Moreover, it is hard to see any improvement in theenvironment pollution conditions, and the GDP per person of China keeps ranking around100thinthe world. Obviously such a traditional development pattern has a significantly negative effect onour people’s lives. The people’s livelihood development indicators, happiness index and lifesatisfaction, which best reflects the “people oriented” spirit, are far behind comparing with mostdeveloped countries. Social values are trapped in the mire of pursuing material benefits only, andall kinds of social contradictions have emerged. Right now, our country is at the transitionalperiod of economic development. Pushing reform is the biggest bonus. Set a new sequence asincreasing domestic demand-investment-exportation, and take efforts to push the transformationof economic development pattern focusing on improving people’s livelihood, have become aninevitable trend and strategic choice to implement the goal of maintain a stable economicdevelopment.To stimulate the economic development‘s transformation focusing on improving people’slivelihood is a systematic process, which needs the guidance of a scientific theory to enforce theupper-level design. What is more needed is to explore a practical way of transformation inconstantly practice. Firstly, we should define the concept and scope of people’s livelihood andeconomic development pattern theoretically, explain the basic theory, basis of this theory and itsimportant meaning for the transformation of economic development pattern focusing onimproving people’s livelihood. Secondly, we need to analyze the adverse effect of our country’seconomic development pattern on the people’s livelihood’s development under the guidance ofscientific theory to seek the cause factor, and forecast the inevitable trend in the future of pushingthe transformation of economic development pattern focusing on improving people’s livelihood.Finally we propose that the transformation of economic development pattern should focus onimproving people’s livelihood, and gives out some trial exploration on the practical transformationpathways. Based on these, we form the following paper structure, which has six main sections:The first section is the basic theory, in which we mainly discuss the connotative meaning of thetransformation of economic development pattern and improving people’s livelihood as well astheir inter-relationship; The second section, as the theoretical basis, consists of philosophicalfoundation guiding ideology and ideological origin; In the third section we mainly talk about the important meaning for the transformation of economic development pattern to the stabledevelopment of our country’s economy and improving people’s livelihood; In the fourth sectionwe analyze in detail the adverse effects of traditional development pattern on people’s livelihoodand the cause factor; In the fifth section we state the necessity to focus on improving people’slivelihood in the transformation of economic development pattern, to set improving people’slivelihood as the goal of economic development, to focus on people’s livelihood with respect tothe idea of development and insist on increasing domestic demand to improve people’s livelihoodwith respect to development power; In the sixth section we propose strategies for pushing thetransformation of economic development pattern focusing on improving people’s livelihood. |
