| With the increasingly serious global climate problem, more and more countries and the public recognize the importance of environment issues. Forest ecosystems plays critical role in mitigating the global warming through its great capability to sequestrate carbon.Increasing attention has been paid for the international forest carbon markets around the world, and forest carbon trading is flourishing. Forest carbon sequestration could mitigate climate change, improve the ecological environment, increase foresters’ income and promote the sustainable development of society, providing ecological, economic and social benefits. In our country, the projects of forest carbon sequestration mostly locate in the self management collective forestry. By the reform of forest rights, collective forestry have been brought into modern foresty property system. These reform offered foresters the management right of this type of forest property, promoting their enthusiasm in forest management and increasing their income. However, several factors limit the access of farmers to carbon trade, restricting their management of carbon sequestration forest, thus, their interests declined. This study, firstly, distinguished several concepts on forest carbon sink, forest carbon sink economy and forest right reform, and analysised the feasibility of the foresters’participation in carbon trade in terms of international carbon trade market, carbon trade in China and foresters’behavior selection mechanism. Secondly, based on the theory of planned behavior, influential factor model of foresters’participation intention had been developed. Empirical analysis and validation had been conducted to investigate the influencial factors, demostrating that foresters’attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control significantly affected foresters’intention, whereas expected income exerted insignificant influence. According to these results, finally, several suggestions and solutions had been proposed. From a practical perspective, this study investigated the influencical factors of farmers’ intention to participate in forest carbon trading, showing a positive influence on the development of forest carbon sequestration and mitigation of climate change, and at the same time, exerting practical significance to enhance the participation of forest carbon market in China and promote carbon trade development. |
