The paper is based on M city commercial bank,a city commercial bank in our country, how to develop the city commercial bank intermediary business development strategy is the fundamental starting point. Using a variety of analysis tools, such as PEST, porter five competitive model, the McKinsey7’s model, SWOT and quantitative strategic planning (QSPM) etc. In this paper, we apply the theory of intermediary business and various analytical tools in M city commercial bank. On the one hand,we pay attention to the application of the integrity of the theoretical system, on the other hand we considered the flexibility of making intermediary business development strategy in M city commercial bank.The thesis mainly was divided into six parts.The first part, we introduced the paper research background and significance, research methods and contents, research limitations and prospects and the research framework of this article.The second part, we introduced the concept and characteristics of the city commercial Banks and intermediary business, but also analyzed the current situation of the development of intermediary business and intermediary business theoretical basis.The third part, based on the case analysis of the M city commercial bank,we analyzed city commercial bank intermediary business development present situation and problems.The fourth part, we analyzed in view of the city commercial bank intermediary business development internal and external environment, and on this basis we used the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis method to evaluate and select M city commercial bank’s intermediary business development strategy. The fifth part, we maked our country city commercial bank intermediary business development ideas and stratege, and used the electronic banking business as the example, describe detail of the development ideas and stratege.The sixth part, we teasedout some of the major conclusions in this paper.In this paper, we got the corresponding conclusions:(1) we analyzed the present situation and existing problems of M city commercial bank intermediary business development.(2) we analyzed internal and external environment of the M city commercial bank intermediary business development.(3) based on M city commercial Banks, we analyzed the macro and micro environment and understand its SWOT.(4) according to the comprehensive weighted attraction score,the size of market development strategy is the highest score, followed by differentiation strategy, the last is the market penetration strategy.(5) we developed strategic positioning of M city commercial bank intermediary business development.(6) we developed development ideas and strategy of M city commercial bank intermediary business, there are four main strategies:business innovation strategy, project integration strategy, organization and management strategy and marketing strategy.
