The Study On Regional Economic Effect And Revelation Of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone

Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone was established in May1991, is the largest freetrade zone in northern China. The free trade zone, with obvious geographicadvantages and special preferential policies, after several years of development, theformation of the international trade, modern logistics and export processing specialsupervision of the regional leading. TPFTZ was also a window opening to the outsideworld and new economic growth point in Tianjin, has promoted the mother cityeconomy and driven the economy development in the hinterland.This paper first discussed the establishment of the free trade zone in China，which is to use foreign export processing zones and free trade area of the experience,it is the special areas under customs supervision has Chinese characteristics. Itsdevelopment is a continuous process of evolution tendency of the foreign free tradearea, many scholars called the development is the transition, but the essence is the freetrade zones with Chinese characteristics through the various stages of development,its function and policy tends to the foreign free trade zones, this is a gradual processof its development. In this paper the TPFTZ as the research object, explored itsregional economic effect by using qualitative and quantitative methods, at the sametime, its regional economic effect bring to the Guangxi Pingxiang Integrated FreeTrade Zone experiences. Specifically divided into the following sections:First, the related theories and research reviewBased mainly on the concept of foreign free economic zone, defined the freetrade zone in China, and discussed the difference between the two. Then the conceptof regional economic effect was expounded, and combined the location advantagetheory, the institutional change theory and unbalanced regional economic theory tostudy the real impact on regional economic. At the same time, researches on theregional effect of domestic and foreign about the free trade zone were reviewed.Second, the regional economic effect of Tianjin Port Free Trade ZoneAt first, analyzed the development of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone in recentyears and compared its function with other free trade zones, and then combined withthe free trade zone’s economic benefits, explored the TPFTZ’s impact on the mothercity economy,through the analysis of the mechanism of the TPFTZ of urban economy and the contribution to mother city economic growth; Also the TPFTZ has formed theconditions of growth pole,and it played the role of regional economic growth pole;finally, used the method of regression analysis to study the correlation of TPFTZ’seconomic development and the hinterland, and the result of the correlation betweenthe TPFTZ’s economic indicator and hinterland economy index is relatively large, theTPFTZ’s vigorously development will have a very significant role in promoting itseconomic hinterland.Third, the study of revelation about the TPFTZ’ regional economic effectFirst of all, it made a summary on the TPFTZ’s regional economic effect. Andthen stated of the development of Guangxi Pingxiang Integrated Free Trade Zone inrecent years, and explored the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities andchallenges by the SWOT analysis; Finally, by comparing the inadequate developmentof Pingxiang Integrated Free Trade Zone and TPFTZ, studied the TPFTZ’s regionaleconomic effect bring to the Pingxiang Integrated Free Trade Zone’s revelation, toimprove the regional economic effect of the Pingxiang Integrated Free Trade Zone inthe future development of operation.
