Study On Equipment Investment Strategy Of Semiconductor Factory

Semiconductor manufacturing is well known as technology intensive industrywith high investment on research and development and complex manufacturingprocesses, as well as capital intensive industry with expensive equipment. In theinvestment of semiconductor company, fixed assets investment is20%of sales value,while the investment of equipment will be more than40%of fixed assets investment,thus the key to semiconductor company to keep growing in semiconductor marketingis the equipment investment strategy, need to base on the demand and companyproduction status to work out the valid and in-time strategy.This thesis start from normal method of investment strategy, using ValueManagement theory to study and analyze VM in the application of investment strategy,and further analysis the characters of semiconductor manufacturing, establish theinvestment strategy model of semiconductor equipment and get the operational modelof investment strategy.This thesis use equipment investment of F semiconductor company as example,take VM theory into equipment investment strategy, initiate different investment planto equipment upgrade or new purchasing, based on finance feasibility analysis, byinvestment value analysis, multiple plan evaluation and comparison to work out thebest investment plan, which is valuable to semiconductor company equipmentinvestment.This thesis takes VM application into manufacturing company, and basing onLCC and Analytical Hierarchy Process to compare multiple plan, this method canprovide valid basis to investment strategy and has strong operational in actualproduction.
