Semiconductor industry is a national strategic industry, the semiconductor equipment is highly automated and expensive, and it is an important asset of enterprises, so the management of semiconductor equipment is very important. Manufacturing execution system is the link between the enterprise production plan and the actual production control, which has a large number of applications in the management of semiconductor enterprises in china. With the development of enterprises, the requirement for the management of equipment is continuously improved. The information system of manufacturing execution system must be used to improve the efficiency of management.This paper first describes the status and development of manufacturing execution system, and analyzes the positioning of it in enterprise management. At the same time, the paper expounds the theory and development trend of equipment management. Taking the A semiconductor company as the research object, in the manufacturing execution system application background, carried on the equipment management optimization research. Through the analysis of A semiconductor company’s survey, improve the competitiveness of the company is necessary to improve the overall equipment efficiency to support the company capacity requirements, but research has found that, A semiconductor company although the application of manufacturing execution system management, but dominated by second-hand equipment production line face aging equipment problems, suffers from a "bathtub curve" factors in equipment management, and therefore must be to optimize the equipment management. Through the establishment of strategic objectives of equipment management, the introduction of the concept of "reliability maintenance", "TPM" and other advanced equipment management, the use of integrated overall equipment efficiency analysis method, value engineering, ABC classification method, and other advanced management methods, in the manufacturing execution system of this information management platform, to find suitable for A semiconductor company to improve the overall equipment efficiency management. Finally, the implementation of the optimization scheme of the equipment management is put forward, and the optimization effect is predicted, which can provide reference for the enterprise’s sustainable development.
