| With increasingly fierce competition in the semiconductor manufacturingindustry, the semiconductor manufacturing company A must continue toreduce costs in order to maintain a high return on investment, but also toachieve profitable performance during the economic downturn. Butcompany A had very cost-conscious management already. How tocontinue to reduce costs becomes a new challenge.Firstly, the thesis addresses methods of cost management, includingABCM, TCM etc. Through that we find some opportunities to reduce thecost.Second, the thesis analyzes company A’s present cost structure andidentifies the key factors. Then the thesis introduces some tools of costcontrol to company A: timely cost management, the systematic solution,and some activities including zero waste, resource integration, processadjustments and so on.Finally, company A achieves cost reduction targets based on aboveresearch, establishes optimal cost management method, and developssome systems to assist all of the activities in this thesis.Through the research, company A has achieved the benefit of costmanagement and built the culture of cost control for the future. |
