Acrylamide products can enhance the oil recovery, effectively. And it can be widelyapplied for the water treatment, paper industry,etc. The development of energy andenvironment protection issues have been supported and encouraged in the nationalTwelfth-five-year plan,clearly. This fact provides a huge external driving force for thedevelopment of our nation’s Acrylamide industry. With the quick development of ourcountry’s economy, the constant increasing of oil consumption, and the improvement ofpeople’s environmental consciousness and production technology, Acrylamide industry isfacing an important period of strategic opportunities. At the same time, Acrylamide industry isfacing huge survival pressure and development dilemma, owing to the huge gap between thedomestic manufacturers production capacity and benefits, low overall technique level, poorinnovation ability, volatility of the raw materials price, and yearly labor cost rising situation.This article picks up a typical stock listed company in Acrylamide industry as example:Shandong Polymer. Trough deep site research, quantitive and qualitative analysis, andquestionnaire survey, it does deep research for Shandong Polymer’s development strategy,using strategic management theories and research methods. Using the PEST and fivecompetitive model, it makes an analysis for Shandong Polymer’s macro environment,industry competition environment compound micro environment, and points out theopportunities and challenges, which Shandong Polymer is facing, and enterprise’s ownadvantages and disadvantages. By Forming internal factors evaluation matrix (IFE) and theexternal factors evaluation matrix (EFE), What’s more, this article uses SWOT model to setthe competitive strategy of Shandong Polymer industry-SO strategy. In addition, this paperuses QSPM Matrix to choose competitive strategy, in order to improve the competitiveness ofShandong Polymer in the alternative energy. By using the quantitative strategic planning matrix(QSPM), ordering the four alternative sorted SO strategy, choses the integrationstrategy and diversification strategy as Shandong Polymer’s development strategy. For thepurpose of ensuring the implementation of development strategies, Shandong Polymer takesthe countermeasures of enlarging the production capacity, perfecting human resourcesmanagement, speeding up the products’ technology innovation, Promoting industry chainextension, reorganizing marketing department, and implementing fine management, so as torealize seize the development opportunities, fully playing it’s internal advantages, and take thesteady and healthy development way.
