The Research On Strategies Of How Shengli Water Supply Company BH Operation Department Diminish Water Leakage

Water supply companies play an important role in supporting people’s lives. Aspublic welfare institutions with highly socialization, water supply enterprises are facingchallenges such as poor management and years of losses. Therefore the research on thestrategies of how to reduce leakage and increase water rate for water supply companies isof vital significance for the rational use of water resources and local economy. By usingthe literature research and field research methods, proceeding from theory of naturalmonopoly, this paper analyzes the current situation of the water supply industry both inChina and the rest of the world, by using the current situation of BH sales department ofShengli Oilfield as an example, trying to find the problems of sales system, facilities,personnel management, and analyzing the reasons for high leakage and difficult charge inpractice. As for the theoretical aspect, the strategy is adopted by using the SWOT method,applying expectation theory, internal marketing, CIS, etc., to the management practice ofBH sales department to provide theoretical basis for staff motivation and customeremergency service. In the aspect of strategies, on the issues of pipeline aging, lowconstruction quality, unreasonable design, insensitive water meter, low employeemotivation, the paper proposes solutions on reducing leakage by facilities, staffmanagement, remote system establishing, and so on. And solutions for debts are also putforward by building customer rating system, staff appraisal system, water fee warmingsystem, customer management system, etc.. The paper intends to promote the overallbusiness management level of BH sales department, and to provide a reference for basicsales departments of water supply companies, thus creating a business model by realizingthe reduction of leakage and clearing up the default.
