With the accelerated process of economic globalization, the worldeconomy has become a more closely whole. Although the economy ofChina has developed quickly and the international prestige has improvedas well, however, challenges are always with opportunities. Due toeconomic globalization, the scope of the social division also expandedfrom a region to a global scale. While Chinese enterprises are often at adisadvantage in the social division of labor, or the low-end of the valuechain, the essential reason is that our enterprises lack creativity.Creativity of enterprises comes from the individual employee’screativity, although there are a lot of studies on creativity management, butstudies on individual level are not that much. The study examined therelationship between organization culture and individual creativity,mediated by knowledge sharing behaviors among peer employees.Considering the difference of personality, the author put openness toexperience as a moderator between the relationship between organizationculture and knowledge sharing behaviors. The author categorizedorganization culture into people orientation and result-orientation. The datacollected from306employees and their supervisors in diversifiedorganizations demonstrate that people-oriented culture can enhanceemployees’knowledge sharing, which in turn brings about creativity, whilethe result-oriented culture don’t influence the individual creativity. Aboutthe moderating effect of openness to experience, it is demonstrated thatopenness to experience can enhance the relationship between organization culture and knowledge sharing behaviors. Meanwhile, this study alsoinvestigated the effect of organization culture on individual taskproficiency, the data demonstrate that people-oriented organization culturehas a greater impact on individual creativity, while result-orientedorganization culture has a greater impact on individual task proficiency.
