| Company S is a world wide manufacturer producing high-qualityhydraulic products for Mobile Machine OEM companies. Although it hasadvantage on the technical side, its product management is still in the basicstage. Facing with the severe competition in the Mobile Machine industry,company S fails to transfer its technical advantage into payoffs. The shortagein the product management is the biggest reason, especially with littleknowlage on technical information asymmetry.Firstly, this dissertation introduces the external environment of company Sfrom macro, industry, and company aspects. Secondary, it analyses theinternal environment from organization, resource, and value chain via Radar,Key Element Matrix, and SWOT. Finally, it discusses the company strategyof S and the shortage in the current product management. By modeling anddeduction with Game Theory, this dissertation believes that “TechnicalInformation Disclosureâ€,“High Quality Product Roadmapâ€,“Following-upMarket Leaderâ€, and “Coorperation with OEM†are the4strategies toimprove the product management in company S.The Game Theory is a great feature of this dissertation. Based ontechnical information asymmetry, Dynamic game with imperfect informationin the mixed strategy of perfect Bayesian equilibrium solves the technicalinformation disclosure issues and product development direction. Facing withcompetitors’ technical information disclosure policy, one time static Nash equilibrium explains why company S needs to follow the market leader’sstrategy. The Cooperative Game Theory is to help company S to sort out theallocation issue. |
