| With the development of internet technology, many industries have been involved insignificant changes. In the field of intelligent terminal, internet companies are trying toreplace the traditional manufacturing enterprises to act as the innovation leader.This research selects two representative companies in the field of intelligent terminals:xiao mi company and Letv company to discuss the background, typical characteristics andformation process of the innovation model, in which internet service providers occupy thecore of the innovation value chain.The main contents and structure of the paper is organized as follows: The first chapterbriefly introduces the research purpose, meaning and research methods; in the secondchapter, the existing research results are briefly summarized, laid a theoretical foundationfor this study; the third chapter, we summarized the innovation ability that one must have toget innovation development by using exploratory multiple case study of xiao mi and Letvcompany; in the fourth chapter, we explore the features and mechanism of the innovativemodel which regard Internet service provider as the core of the innovation network, andprovide policy advice to enterprises and governments.In theory, this study presents the "Internet service provider-led innovation", andpointed out the model applicable conditions, the formation mechanism and its impact. Thepioneering achievements fill the gaps of research regarding Innovation Networkdevelopment and innovation policy, thus has important theoretical value.In practice, the new industrial innovation model which emerged in the field ofintelligent terminal has general feature. With the development of Internet technology, thisindustrial innovation model has a greater use of space, further expansion of this study canprovide more guidance for the development of reality, which has guidance value onpractical application.Through case studies we found that the new innovation model is activated by disruptiveinnovation emerged in the intelligent terminal industry. With the network recognitioncapacity, internet companies seize the opportunity quickly, and rely on networkconstruction and integration capabilities, they build a platform prompting each body tocooperate at the time of the deconstruction of the traditional value chain. This model has anetwork effect, which make the intelligent terminal market show a “one-sided†feature, the faster to break the critical mass, the more likely to achieve the final success. Based on thepresence of network effects, whether owned network management capabilities directlydetermine whether the enterprise to occupy the central position and continue leadingdevelopment of the innovation network. |
