| Based on the advantage of labor and the natural resources endowment, China has been undertaking a large number of labor-intensive industries transferred from abroad developed countries in recent years, and has quickly become one of the most important OEM bases. OEM mode has become the important way of the primitive accumulation of many enterprises in our country, but as the demographic and land dividend collapsed in recent years,and was affected by the monopoly power from the multinational companies and international big buyers, as well as to the OEM market competition comes from southeast Asia and other developing countries.At present, many OEM enterprises are making the hard choices whether continue to earn low profit or transformation and upgrading, thus it becomes a great concern of the government, the theoretical circle and the corporate sector. Therefore, the research in influencing factors of the OEM enterprises’ upgrading under the background of global value chain has important significance on industrial upgrading, economic structure adjustment in our countries. There are not so many studies on influencing factors of the OEM enterprises’ upgrading at home and abroad. On one hand,as the model of OEM is uncommon, there are few research on the OEM enterprises’ upgrading;on the other hand, domestic related research developed slowly. Although some related researches have started and developed, but it haven’t formed a complete theoretical system. Based on this, this paper regards the influencing factors of the OEM enterprises’ upgrading under the background of global value chain as the research subject, trying to offer a new perspective for enterprise micro perspective, in order to improve the related theory of OEM enterprises’ upgrading and guide the practical activities in the process of upgrading.This paper applies the method of documents, investigating method interviewing method, statistical analysis technique. Firstly this paper gives a briefly review of global value chain theory,the OEM enterprises’ upgrading and its influencing factors by carding the literature data, defines the connotation of OEM enterprises’ upgrading, what is to improve the level of competitiveness and added value. Then this paper proposes a research model, puts forward a series of assumptions, designs the survey questionnaire,and finally verifies the hypotheses by using the descriptive statistics and gets the results.This paper also suggests that this research may conduct from the perspective of internal factors and external factors, the internal factors includes own capital conditions,personnel condition, technological innovative ability, international marketing ability,brand-building-maintenance- operation ability and entrepreneurship; the external factors includes the development of producer services, policy orientation and innovation environment. The two together has a positive effect on promoting the level of competitiveness and added value.Finally, according to the research conclusion, this paper puts forward some relevant countermeasures for OEM enterprises’ upgrading to participate in international competition and the expected future work is depicted at the end of the paper. |
