| The overseas investment of Haier Group is a model of domestic enterprises. The paper selected its industry selection as the breakthrough point. Firstly, it summarized the characteristics of industry selection of Haier Group’s overseas investment. Secondly, it analyzed and evaluated industry selection with GE matrix analysis. Thirdly, it compared industry selection of Haier Group’s overseas investment with that of GM Group’s overseas investment, and concluded the existing problems on industry selection of Haier Group’s overseas investment. Finally, it put forward corresponding strategy to solve these problems.On GE matrix analysis of industry selection of Haier Group’s overseas investment, the paper selected 12 factors about industry attractiveness such as industry scale, industry profits and 12 factors about industry competitiveness such as share growth, production efficiency. The paper selected four representative industry such as home appliance industry, computer industry, mobile phone industry, and financial industry to analyze.
