On The Supply Mode Of Public Service Of Tangshan New Science And Technology Museum

Science needs spreading. Without communication, there is no scientific understanding and application of science. Science and Technology Museum is the dissemination tool of science and technology knowledge in the form of public-oriented comprehensive public education, the position providing public-education service platform and popular science education for government and society. Along with the economic and social development, people’s request to raise the scientific and cultural qualities is on the rise, and the demand of popular science has been diversified and personalized. Public service supply of former Science and Technology Museum in Tangshan is obviously inadequate and has been unable to meet its requirement to building a national innovative city, Tangshan municipal government decided to build the Tangshan new science and technology museum.To give full play to the public service functions of popular science in Tangshan New Science and Technology Museum, this article has conducted study on supply mode of public service of Tangshan New Science and Technology Museum. The article has firstly introduced subject background, target, meaning, literature reviewed, ideas and method, and has defined core concepts of supply mode of public service, also with theoretical foundation stated. Secondly, some typical experiences and results of Science and Technology Museum have been summarized from two aspects (supply subject and supply mechanism) of supply mode of building public service and field investigation has been made as to main problems and causes existed in the supply of public services of former Tangshan Science and Technology Museum, also with demand characteristics and contents of popular science services anatomized. Based on the above conclusions, using the theory of polycentric governance and supply mechanism theory of public service, the article has proposed to introduce diverse suppliers in the supply of public services of Tangshan New Science and Technology Museum, implementing interactive modes of supply mechanisms, thereby to establish high-quality and efficient supply mode of public service with diversification and dynamics of Tangshan New Science and Technology Museum. Furthermore, the paper has made benefit prediction of the model, thus it is concluded that through the use of models, the new museum of science and technology can achieve significant economic and social benefit, truly playing a crucial role in enhancing citizen’s scientific literacy in Tangshan, in cultivating technology innovation and in elaborating a national innovative city.
