The Saudi Arabia Makkah Metro Project Internal Control Research

With the rapid development of the globalization of the world and Chinese economy and the guidance of the national development strategy of "going out", more and more Chinese engineering enterprises went abroad and contract series of international engineering projects, although there are a number of projects profitability, but also a lot of projects loss.Many causes of the loss, but the basic problem is that Chinese companies in oversea lack engineering project risk consciousness and internal control ability seriously. How to improve risk awareness and project control ability becomes a major problem that restrict the benefit of project construction enterprises of China.With the typical case study methods,this thesis researches the lighr rail project in Saudi Arabia Mecca city combining with author’s working experience and related theory of internal control.Firstly, this thesis reviewed the origin and development of internal control theory,expounded the main contents and the purpose of internal control theory to research.Secondly, according to the theory of internal control and relevant information and working Experience in Saudi Arabia Mecca light rail project, with the elements of internal control as the breakthrough point, respectively for Saudi Arabia Mecca light rail project from four aspects of project project, engineering design, project bidding and construction are introduced, find out the existing problems and reasons. Finally, according to the analysis of the existence of problems and the theory of internal control, this thesis combined the measures. The emphasis is that everyone of the company have to change the mode of thinking, culture internationalization management idea, strengthen the designed capacity,improve the ability to control the contract, improve the control ability of construction. Chinese engineering construction enterprises will have a firm development unless They are cognizant of their own shortcomings, the great importance of the internal management, the lessons of the Mecca Metro Project.
