With the continuous development of social economy, Business people for understanding the nature of a great change. The food industry is one of our special manufacturing base, the safety of its products is directly related to the health and safety of people. But in recent years,the country’s food security situation remains hidden. Some food companies in the pursuit of the interests of the process, there occurs a vicious security events.Consumers have started to corporate social responsibility should not be questioned.China’s socialist market economy is still not perfect, how to properly guide the food industry to actively fulfill their social responsibilities, establish a sound market mechanism and system management tools, has become the focus of our attention.CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility, called CSR) is an enterprise in pursuit of maximizing shareholder wealth, the initiative to safeguard the interests of other stakeholders. Including the interests of shareholders, employees’ interests, the interests of the supplier, the interests of creditors, customers and the public interest and so on.Foreign scholars for more in-depth study of the issue, and formed a certain research.On the whole, the main content is divided into two areas. Some of which are normative research, primarily focused on defining and perfecting the concept of social responsibility of the company; the other part is the empirical research, the relationship between the main corporate social responsibility and corporate performance. However,due to the different research methods and scholars chosen indicators, studies on the relationship between the two has not yet formed a unified conclusion. In this paper, through the study of the food industry and corporate social responsibility theory and performance of their relationship, identify indicators of corporate social responsibility have an impact on business performance, and thus the development of enterprises to provide useful help.This paper reviews the current research on the relationship between domestic and foreign scholars on corporate social responsibility and corporate performance theory made a comb. This paper selects the Shanghai and Shenzhen 2010-2013 Independent disclosure of corporate social responsibility report a total of 113 listed companies as samples studied. Which in 2010 had21 companies, 2011 26 companies, 2012 31 companies, 2013 35 companies. Using Excel and SPSS statistical software for data processing, data analysis descriptive statistics, regression analysis and co-linear analysis. Regression analysis to test the hypothesis presented in this paper, and finally concluded, and social responsibility policy recommendations on how to promote food companies, for the food industry to improve the level of social responsibility to fulfill to provide a reference.
