Through systematic study of the modern job analysis theories, the history and frontier of the job analysis are explored to handle the general method about how to carry out job analysis and what should be paid attention to and how to solve the potential problems. As well as the study of the theories, the current job analysis process is examined to find the drawbacks and obstacles influencing the effectiveness of the job analysis of W institute.Based on this, guided by the job analysis theories and experience, the process of job analysis is refined to solve the problems existed in the previous process of job analysis. The new process starts from the diagnosis of the human resource management. A plan of new job analysis is also made to guide the process. In the information preparation stage, the comprehensive department established the standard operation process (SOP) for the current job which helped a lot in defining the border between positions.The new analysis methods based on work flow and standard operation process are used combing which the classical job analysis methods like questionnaire and interview. The responsibilities and power assignment table is formed to clearly define the border among position. The new job analysis process is practiced in the comprehensive department and the responsibilities and power assignment table and job specifications were built in the practice. The new job specification refined the requirement for the position and defined the power, duty of the job and also the relationships connected with the position. The key performance indexes are also signed in the job specification. All of the new features make the job specification more practical. The research carried out contributes to the implantation of the job analysis plan and will be cornerstone for the rebuild of position system and development of the modern human resource management of the W institute.
