| After the financial crisis, the contours of world economic landscape has been redrawn. Meanwhile, China’s economy has stepped into "new normal" state, the economic reform and open is going deeper. The strength of China’s banks has been greatly enhanced. In the new circumstances, China’s banking is facing a rare historical opportunity to "go global". The primary problem to "go global" is "where to go". Whether the location choice is appropriate when banks operate international business will have an important impact on the development of the bank. Which factors influence the decisions of the location choice of international business of China’s banks is a worthwhile question to explore. This paper studied on this issue.On the basis of summing up the related research results, the course of China’s banking internationalization was reviewed firstly in this paper. Then the number and location distribution of oversea branches of China’s banks were counted. According to the current situation of the internationalization of China’s banks, the factors, which influenced the decisions of the location choice of international business of China’s banks, were analyzed qualitatively in three aspects:the push factors of the host countries and regions, the pull factors of China and the inherent factors of China’s banks. Then related indexes were chosen to measure these factors. After the index system was established, the numbers of oversea branches of the five representative banks of China’s banking in nineteen sample countries and regions were chosen as the explained variables, and the selected indexes were regarded as explanatory variables. Those variables were fed into the regression model to analysis quantificationally. Finally, combining the conclusion of qualitative and quantitative analysis, some innovative development proposals for China’s banking internationalize in the new situation were put forward at the end of this paper. |
