Study On International Coal Trade Development China And Mongolia

Mongolia is one of the most important neighbors in Northern China, as well as China’s widest neighbors to the border area and the longest border. Since China’s reform and opening up policy, both countries economy and trade exchanges are grown rapidly in the field of coal trade. China has become Mongolia’s one of the first largest trading partner and biggest investor. Mongolia possess huge coal resources, while China has advanced technology, top professional talents of coal’s field and abundant funds, which give China and Mongolia superior conditions to develop the coal trade. In recent years, Mongolia has developed worldclass mineral mining. Mongolia and China mineral energy deals, especially coal imports of status are also rising. But since 2012, as a consequence of the world economic downturn, the two countries coal trade development has been influenced, problems such as coal prices decline appears constantly.Although Mongolia coal trade development potential scale is big, the coal trade relations between the two countries still have many problems, therefore, this article through to the coal trade development actual issues has carried on the qualitative analysis and empirical research, analyzed several problems of the coal trade development, and from the trade policy, infrastructure, professional talents, the aspects of investment environment among others. To put forward proposed emergent countermeasures for coal trade, to promote the development of coal trade have played an important role that could not be ignored, at the same time the implementation of a mutual benefits situation in the coal trade between two countries with significantly importance.Based on China and Mongolian coal trade situation put on the research focus, first has carried on the related concepts to define to the coal trade, combining with related theory, the present and development situation of coal trade using literature retrieval, empirical research, qualitative analysis and other methods, in five aspects, policy, infrastructure, investment environment, professionals and environment. By analyzing several existing problems in the development of the coal trade, the research has concluded, the including trade policy is poor, coal transportation infrastructure is undeveloped, company investment activity in Mongolia is not positive, lack of professional talents on coal ’ s field, and coal trade increased environmental pollution problems. Those problems greatly restrict the development of the coal trade between the two countries. Finally, this article refer to the research results of scholars at homeland and abroad in the coal trade development present situation between the two countries, at the same time, also proposed several previous exiting problems in the coal trade development, put forward suggestions and countermeasures to improve the coal trade development, including strengthening the bilateral understanding and mutual trust between the two countries, the creation of a free trade area in Mongolia, enhance the traffic system between two countries, training and incorporation of coal international business talents, and reinforce the investment environment of Mongolia. This article from the perspective of those five aspects proposed how to accelerate the improvement and results of coal trade development, and also suggest the course of actions.
