Research On Upgrading Technological Innovation Capability Of China’s New Energy Automobile Industry

Energy holds an important position for every country, so to speak, the control of energy supply ensures the initiate in the future development for the country. Although our country is vast and resourceful, because of the large population, the natural resources per capita are lower than the world’s average level. Since the reform and opening up, with the rapid growth of economy in China, the shortage of energy and environmental pollution have become the major obstacles for the sustainable development of our economy. To develop the new energy automobile can solve the problem of resources and environment at the same time.According to the statistics of OICA, China’s automobile production and sales have been ranked first in the world for several years. However, the automotive industry started late in China, with a serious lack of core technology and the awareness of independent innovation, our country is still only a follower in this field. While the new energy automobile industry has just started, our country and the developed countries are still at the same starting line so it is a great opportunity for us to narrow the gap between us.This paper firstly introduces the current market, policy situation of China’s new energy automotive industry, then analyzes the related theory of technology innovation. It analyzes the path of innovation through constructing the game model and points out that our choice should depend on our own situation rather than follow the trend blindly. Finally, some suggestions for the improvement of China’s new energy automotive industry’s technology innovation ability are presented.
