Study On The Interaction Of Urbanization And Industrial Structure Optimization In Tianjin, China

At present, urbanization is the focus issue of the development of our national economy, and is first rise to the height of national development strategies in the 12th Five Year Plan Period. It is related to the long-term coordination and the sustainable development of our country’s economy. The world experience shows that, the level of urbanization is closely related to the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure. Urbanization, which accompanied industrialization process, promotes the evolution of industrial structure. Meanwhile, the reasonable industrial structure provides inexhaustible industrial driving force to the further deepening of urbanization and also promotes urbanization level reached a new height.Recently, the process of urbanization in Tianjin has achieved certain achievements, but the ’semi urbanization’phenomenon is still obvious. Behind the high rate of urbanization level, it is more important to enhance its quality. Especially, the third industry develops slowly and industry level is relatively low, and it inhibits the improvement of the overall level of urbanization. Therefore, it is more significant to promote the coordinated development of urbanization and industrial structure optimization. The paper reviews the history process of urbanization in Tianjin, presents the development status and existing problems of urbanization and industrial structure evolution. Meanwhile, this paper gives a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the interaction of urbanization development and industrial structure optimization in Tianjin. And also establish the VAR model to analysis the dynamic process between the urbanization and industrial structure development. The analysis result shows that:the urbanization development of Tianjin, agricultural modernization and industrial structure optimization influence each other, and promote each other. The evolution of second and third industry both will improve the level of urbanization. In the long run, the effect of the third industry is much higher than that of the second industry and agricultural modernization. On the other hand, urbanization promotion will also lead to the optimization of the industrial structure, but the effect is relatively weak. In the end, this paper puts forward some suggestions, for example, accelerate the reform of the household registration system to promote the upgrading of the industrial structure, boost the agricultural modernization to accelerate the new urbanization construction, realize the scientific and reasonable industrial gradient transfer, and promote the coordinated development of regional industries.The innovation point of this paper includes the following two aspects. On the one hand, the paper estimates the interaction quality of the urbanization and the industrial structure optimization so as to give a comprehensive description of Tianjin. On the other hand, the paper chooses Tianjin as the research object and makes the dynamic analyses. It not only enriches the previous study which only contains simple regression analysis, but also provides some measures to improve the quality of urbanization.
