The Empirical Study Of Human Capital On Economic Growth In Gansu Province

At present, our country is in a crucial period of economic transformation, it is important to seize the direction of economic development well and make good use of elements that is needed by economic development for understanding economic situation deeply and transforming economy better in the future of Gansu province. As a key factor of economic development, Human capital has became an non-ignorable focus to interpret the reason for undeveloped economy.with the reform and opening further from coast to inland and the support of western development strategy, Gansu Province has a high-speed economic development in recent years, while compared with the southeast coastal provinces and the central region, even to other western provinces, its economic development lag behind apparently. because of Gansu province own stock of human capital and human capital are low,So its economic was backwardness. Low level of labor in poor areas breeds backward culture and economy, if we do not pay attention to the importance of human capital, it will bring new poverty in the future. In the context of economic transformation, each province are grasping this opportunity to develop its own economy. Gansu is located in inland with inferior location and natural resources, how to rational use its human capital has a significant meaning.This paper has combined theory with empirical research methods,based on the following ideas to start research: Firstly, to arrange the study of human capital by domestic and foreign scholars and to get to know existing research achievements and future research directions in human capital area. Secondly, to define the concept of human capital and summarize measuring method, then introduce the theory of economic growth. Finally, to build models and calculate the contribution rate of human capital in Gansu province, and make several specific policy suggestions Based on the conclusion of empirical analysis.
