This paper intends to analyze the social mechanism of matching market supply and demand. We conduct the empirical research of matching issue between consumers and home improvement company on the basis of the consideration about "How market order is possible" and concern on the disorder phenomenon such as information asymmetry and "adverse selection"in home improvement market.In the practice, the effective integration of the market demand and supply is not just the role of the price mechanism.The social mechanism of matching market supply and demand needs to be studied At the point, this paper chooses the customers’home improvement process of a company in Nanjing as the research object basing on the feasibility and operability considerations,exploring the transaction process of demand and supply from searching for each other to the effective integration.The study of social mechanism of matching supply and demand is the result of theoretical thinking on the issue of market order, that is, how to achieve the coordination and integration of actors’ self-interest and the overall interests when the social labor division become more sophisticated and market exchange has an increasingly profound impact on society.Especially in the observation of daily life, the chaos and disorder in the home improvement market almost become the "facf" that consumers are forced to recognize and accept.From the false information to the jagged decorate materials and the time-consuming construction engineering to the complicated detail regulation, all aspects of the home improvement activity are a test of the consumer’s knowledge reserve level and mental endurance.In the market system, rational actors seeking to maximize the benefit create the prosperous market economy, but it also makes the market order problem become more prominent and urgent.To that, this paper attempts to find the method and theoretical framework combining the micro and macro analysis of market order issue.The embedded analysis of market in New Economic Sociology enhances the cognition of process and the possible social conditions of a real market’s microscopic construction and operation, but its limitation is ignoring the subjective meaning and courses of action and overemphasizing the structural factor.It’s a static analysis tool.Therefore, this paper conducts the analysis of interaction process and forms from the perspective of embedded interaction between the demand and supply to illustrate the stable and normal pattern of social interaction and game form among interest actors,and thereby seek the effective integration of structural analysis and action analysis of market practice.In the methodological basis of embedded interaction,this paper take the matching of demand and supply as a market process and divide it into "advance" information matching and "afterwards" interactive matching two stages.Through the case analysis of the transaction process of customers with Nanjing JH decoration company,this paper argues that the matching of demand and supply is achieved through the advance information matching and afterwards interactive matching.First of all, the premise of matching supply and demand is to achieve the effective information transmission to solve the dispersion.And in the practice,the information flowing between the customer and decoration company include both formal and informal portion. The former refers to public disseminated, stylized and having legal effect information, while the latter refers to private spread, non-stylized and practical information.Therefore,this study suggests that the achievement of the advance information matching needs the decoration company built up information transmission mechanism, and also need both parties to use personal relationship to establish information screening-incentive mechanism to discern false information and share practical information.Then after entering the stage of interactive matching, the content of cooperation between the customers and the company mainly consist of information coordination and the communication of error correction.Through the comparative analysis of different cooperation patterns,this study found that the information coordination can be more efficient in the model with higher degree organization and regulated interaction.And even when operational problems arise, the consumer and company are capable of rational consultations within the accordingly institutional framework.Therefore, this paper argues that the regulation mechanism with formal and unified institution and norms is the main guarantee for the achievement of afterwards interactive matching.But on the other hand,the research suggests that in the cooperation pattern with loose structure and lower degree organization,the relational mechanism can adjust the transaction between customers and the company and minimize transaction cost when the rule execution is insufficient.Through the advance information and afterwards interactive matching,the paper test the implementation of the supply and demand matching degree by the desirability evaluation of the customer and company both two sides.In the particular practice,the both two sides’desirability evaluation depends largely on the size of the gap between the expectation set up by the information matching and the actual effect achieved by the interactive matching.The smaller the gap, the matching of supply and demand more incline into equilibrium; and the greater the gap, the transaction less sustainable. Thus, the formation and stability of the home improvement market order ultimately depends on the equilibrium mechanism established by information matching and interactive matching.Thus,the paper presents the interactive process of demand and supply matching in the role of social mechanisms.On this basis, the study argues that the solving of the disorder problem in the home improvement market depends on the interactive patterns’ construction by the market actors.And with the Internet continuing to penetrate all areas of economic life,the changes of market interaction between the actors will become the new theoretical and practical exploration direction.
