Study On Problems Of Export Cloting Quality Control Of MD Company

China’s garment industry is at the bottom of global apparel value chain, mainly rely on low labor cost and expense of environment. With the continued global economic slowdown, intensive international competitions, rising domestic labor costs,appreciation of the RMB and other factors, original competitive advantage is gradually weakening. A large number of orders are being transferred to the Southeast Asia and Bangladesh. Chinese garment export enterprises are facing a crisis of survival. To change the existing situation, quality control is always the priority of China’s garment export.This paper adopted the method of combining theoretical analysis and empirical test. Combined with the particularity of quality management in garment industry and quality problems in MD Company, total quality management method was applied to enhance the international competitiveness of MD Company. Through analysis of each process in the production process, quality problems in the transverse plane, set mouth,ironing and other aspects are found. Defective Pareto diagram analysis of orders from March to May in 2013 showed that the cause of defective was problems in flat knitting machine and set. Main problems in quality management were: lack of raw material supplier evaluation, lack of horizontal machine set of training and assessment,lack of quality inspection and process control.To solve these problems, MD Company adopted total quality management system and PDCA quality control method. The implementation of total quality control showed: total quality management had a good effect to improve products quality and to reduce rework, and to improve effective cost control of the product.
