Farmers’ Welfare After Rural-urban Land Conversion Based On SEM

With the development of rural-urban land conversion today, it has already been China’s most popular social and economic phenomenon in the evolution of urban–ruraldual economic structure.But if its scale is too large,there will be more landless farmers to some extent, and further, it will be very difficultto protect their interests. Therefore, an important criterion is to analyze how the welfare effects it has brought for farmers are when judging whether the social and economic activity of rural-urban land conversion is valuable or not.Based on the SEM, and by investigating 320 farmers’ welfare cases after the land expropriation in Yong’an County, west port area in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, as well as combining the theoretical framework of Sen’s capability to construct the measurement index system from four points of domestic economy, social security, social opportunities and psychological factors, to study the farmers’ welfare after rural-urban land conversion.Using PASW Statistic 18.0 and AMOS 20.0 software to do the model estimating, we can get the main conclusions:(1)Applying the Maximum likelihood estimation method, then we find that H2、H3、H5、H6、H11、H12、H14、H17 have all passed the hypothesis testing, ie. itindicates that the eight groups of assumption relations are all significant.(2)The study reveals that the impact score of whether the non-agricultural employment, stability of non-agricultural employment, land benefit has on domestic economy is 0.418, 0.371, 0.233 separately;the impact of non-agricultural employment space, whether the non-agricultural employment, non-agricultural employment has on social security is 0.809,0.39,-0.0785 respectively;the impact of non-agricultural employment space, whether the non-agricultural employment, stability of non-agricultural employment has on social opportunity is 0.969,0.245,-0.355separately;the impact of non-agricultural employment space, non-agricultural employment space, whether the non-agricultural employment has on psychological factors is 0.476,-0.976,-0.142 respectively.Based on the conclusions above, the paper puts forward some policies and suggestions of consummating the social security system, strengthenting the psychological counselling as well as improving the education and job training of landless farmers, from the aspects of social security, psychological factors and social opportunities.
