Study On Chengdu Airport Economics Based On The New Airport Of Chengdu

In the age of economic globalization, modern information technology and modern transportation technology becomes more developed, which lead to broad space for economic development. The ability of air transport services in national economic and society has improved, We can begin to develop the airport economy now.Recent years, Our country put more and more attention to the development of airport economy. The central and local government constantly strengthens the investment in civil aviation infrastructure construction, especially the construction of civil airport. The highly increase in number of the airport will provide solid foundation for the development of airport economy. As a central city in western China, there are a large number of goods transported in and out of by air in Chengdu, which attracts a large number of tourists at home and abroad. Chairman Xi proposed development strategy of The Belt and Road Initiatives in 2013, which contributed to the connection of Asian and European countries and give Chengdu a huge opportunity to develop its airport economy. As the investment of the new airport in Chengdu and the introduction of airport economic strategic program, the problem of how to enhance the competitiveness of Chengdu airport economic and how to achieve long-term stability of competitive advantage has become the most important issue that needs to be studied and solved as soon as possible.Airport economic is formed by the factors of production attracted by the airport resources in surrounding areas. And the interaction between the regional economies, will be promoted and supported by the flow of factors of production and implementation of the infrastructure sharing, which shapes the coupling development pattern by the airport economy and regional economy to gain stacking efficiency caused by synergy. The coupling of the airport economy and regional economy is consisted of five aspects which includes infrastructure, industry, space structure, traffic network, and regional economic development conditions.Based on the above theoretical basis, this paper designed a series of evaluation index of airport economic competitiveness in five aspects on the basis of regional economic condition, airport supporting industry, resource conditions, the logistics cost and the government role. Besides, it used factor analysis method to compared the Spanglish airport with other nine domestic airports. With the 2012 input-output table of aviation transportation industry of Sichuan province, it calculated the correlation degree between airport transportation and other industries, and made analysis of the competitiveness of Chengdu airport economic. In addition, with the opportunity that Chengdu new airport brings to airport economy, it made proposals that improve competitiveness of Chengdu airport economy, that is, construct a cross-regional airport economic zone base on the new airport in Chengdu.Construction of the new airport in Chengdu is a significant opportunity of rapid economic development of Chengdu airport. The new airport will have great impact to Chengdu and to surrounding areas and become the important junction that influences Sichuan province or even western areas in China. With this great opportunity, the new airport construction will push Chengdu airport economy to a new level.
