Strategic Research On Urban Internationalization -a Case Study Of Jinan

China’s economy has been developed rapidly in the past three decades and becomes the second largest economic body only after the United States. Followed by the continuing increasing level of opening-up, major cities in China have carried out their international development strategy and seize every opportunity to strive in the fierce competition in the world. Through urban development strategy, they actively participated in the international arena. More and more cities carry out multi-level and three-dimensional international exchange.2014 Shan Dong Urbanization Meeting has mentioned that Jinan should raise its international level. Therefore, it’s necessary to carry out the research on Jinan urban internationalization.2014, President Xi Jinping’s visit to Europe has achieved fruitful results and our government continues to adopt the "energy diplomacy" and "high-speed rail diplomacy" which embodied in pragmatic diplomacy to enhance our participation in the global scope. In so doing, level of economic activity has been raised up. In this paper, a case study of Jinan City, the economic and business affairs exchanges are discussed as a breakthrough for research work which based on the first-hand materials from the author. From the background of international development in Jinan City as a start, combine the relevant research at home and abroad, explain the concept and theory, discuss the actual development of Jinan City, recall the opening-up history, analysis the city’s advantages, opportunities and challenges, learn from the best practices of other sub-provincial cities, explore goals and paths of Jinan international development, give the options in terms of government policy, industrial development, worldwide talents and other proposed countermeasures.In the tide of economic reform, no country or city can stay aloof. Large cities or regional center cities must pay attention to the path international development, the role and influence of it. This paper further explores and evaluates the efforts made by the Jinan Municipal Government in this regard, put forward on how to promote trade and economic development. Jinan must participate in the global economic activities. Jinan, capital of Shandong Province, one of the national sub-provincial cities, the regional economic center city, and her international development will have profound meaning for international development in Shandong Province and even North China area. I hope this research can enrich the relevant theory, playing as bricks, hoping to draw some jewelry back.
