There is an interactive and symbiotic relation between the school education and culture. “Only the educational activities exist, the human society can inherit the culture from generation to generation.” The crisis that the Yao culture inheritance faces is also the crisis of the Yao culture education. To solve the crisis of the Yao culture inheritance, it is a key point to find an effective way to solve the crisis of the Yao culture education. Education is the important way and means to realize cultural inheritance, and school is the effective place to inherit culture, tourism major in vocational school in Yao minority area undertakes the mission of inheriting the Yao culture. This mission is bound to become a consensus of government, vocational education institutions, vocational educators, relevant enterprises and the community. It is required that tourism major in vocational school in Yao minority area, not only cultivating the professional technician of general purpose for the social and economic development of Yao minority area, but also focus on training the skilled talents with the Yao culture and cultural inheritors of Yao minority area.However, there is not specialized policy document and clear strategic target of the Yao cultural inheritance at present. It shows that the theory on school management of Yao cultural heritage educational is unclear. The talent development target of tourism major is out of the cultural inheritance. Moreover, the major setting and teaching model are not highlighting the cultural characteristics of Yao minority. Because of the particularly inadequate of professional teacher, teaching material, practical training base and other related facilities of tourism major in vocational school in Yao minority area, the cultivation of the cultural inheritors and cultural inheritance in vocational school of Yao minority area is obstructed seriously. By setting well-defined objectives of the Yao cultural inheritance, making a short, medium and long-term strategic plan of the Yao cultural inheritance, so that a specific and implementable cultural inheritance program can be formulated. It is also needed to reform and innovate the settings base on the construction of researching, teaching model, teacher training, teaching materials compilation, enrollment patterns and other aspects of cultural inheritance in the tourism major in the vocational school. It is conducive to promote the cultural inheritance and cultivate innovative talents of tourism major in vocational school in Yao minority area. It helps to revitalize and prosper cultural undertakings cultural industries and to promote the development of tourism economy and socialism spiritual civilization construction and the comprehensive well-off society in the Yao minority area.
