Thanks to China’s economic take-off and financial markets continue to improve, asset management business of Chinese securities companies obtained rapid development in recent years, constituting a par competition with Bank financing, Trust planning, Insurance financing, Funds, and so on. With the deepening of reform forward, the gradual success of economic restructuring, capital markets will get a more solid foundation. Asset management business of securities companies will have more room for development and action. Meanwhile, the State Council, China Securities Regulatory Commission has issued a series of favorable policies to deepen the reform of capital markets, the transformation and upgrading, creating a favorable policy environment for the further development of securities companies’ asset management business. Against this backdrop, many securities companies began to seize the opportunity to enhance the asset management business as soon as possible, in order to gain advantage in the fierce industry competition in the future. H Securities Co., Ltd., assess the situation and make timely strategic decisions, in 2014 the original H Securities Co., Ltd. Beijing Securities Asset Management Branch upgraded to a dedicated asset management business subsidiaries-H Security Assets Management Company.To develop and make good use of the newly established asset management subsidiary, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the asset management business, we need to choose a good competitive strategy and take a good security measures.This is an important issue in front of H Securities Co., Ltd. and H Security Assets Management Company worthy of further analysis.The paper will analyze for H Security Assets Management Company’s competitive strategy. In this paper, taking theoretical research, survey research, and reading literature, industry information and access to the company’s internal staff, and summarized the basic situation of the securities firm’s asset management business, Using PEST, SWOT and Porter’s five forces model and other analytical tools, a comprehensive analysis of H Security Assets Management Company’s internal and external environment, identify the suitable competitive strategy to enhance its ability to proactively manage-Focused Differentiation Strategy:In the face of the customer base, concentrated mostly on service banking, trust, insurance and other institutional investors; in asset management product design, pay attention to reflect the company’s leading characteristics in terms of quantitative investment, take the difference of routes and make more designed quantitative investment products.To guarantee the smooth implementation of Focused Differentiation Strategy and upgrade active management capabilities, this paper clearly stated that need to take some specific actions of strengthening the talent pool, brand building, enriching in product design, reinforcing risk identification and control capabiliy, strengthening the integration of internal and external resources. This paper not only has guiding significance for H Security Assets Management Company in the future market competition, but also has a reference value for other securities companies.Innovations of this paper:analysis of constraints, positive factors, external constraints, internal demand, combined with the development status of asset management industry and present laws and regulations, fully considered the actual situation of H Security Assets Management Company proposed strategic plans on improving the active management ability and centralizing services institutional investors and developing the unique differentiated business.
