Due to the diversification of the market trading subjects, channels and information, the weak position of scattered small-scale famers in the market is increasingly highlighted. In view of the contradiction between small farmers and big market, professional cooperatives of farmers, which are the best way for the innovation of agricultural operation system and modernization of agricultural development, arising in the historic period. From the perspective of the long-term development of cooperative, the behavioral decision and interests of farmers are basic impetus of the existence and development of cooperative, while farmer is the body of it. Therefore, studying the behavior and benefit of farmers participating in professional cooperatives has an important significance to promote the further development of professional cooperative in China.Based on the summary of related theories and literatures, the thesis puts forward the research hypothesis and analysis framework, and by using the survey data from the grape planting farmers in Jiangsu Province in this paper, the behavior and benefit of farmers participating in technical cooperative have carried on the empirical analysis with a two-phase model. First of all, the behavior of farmers participating in technical cooperative is analyzed by using the binary logistic model. And the results show that variables like age, education level, experience of viticulture, stability of sales channel and trust level of farmers, have a significant influence on the behavior of farmers participating in cooperative. Secondly, the multivariate linear regression model has been used to give a further analysis on the benefit of farmers participating in technical cooperative, and the results indicate that participating in professional cooperative has a significant positive influence on farmer’s income. Technical service provided by cooperative can also contribute to the increase of farmer’s income. In addition, different planting scales, production inputs and sales channels will have significant impact on farmer’s production benefit.Based on the above theoretical and empirical analysis, this paper puts forward related policy recommendations from the angle of promoting the further development of cooperatives and improvement of farmers’income level. Firstly, the cooperative itself should actively explore the union of farmers’interests, attach much weight to the actual needs and interests of farmers, and promote the further development of cooperative with the realization of the interests of farmers. Secondly, the government should continue to act as a guider and supporter in the process of the development of cooperative. On the one hand, government should provide guidance to farmers’ behavior and encourage them to participate in professional cooperative; on the other hand, it should promote the long-term development of professional cooperative and support the cooperative by preferential policies, financial subsidies, tax relief and other forms. In addition, in terms of scale management, cooperative and government should not blindly pursue the super-large scale of viticulture, and they should guide the moderate scale management on the premise of security benefits.
