Migrant workers are becoming a very import part of the current Chinese cities, and the migrant model is gradually changing into "family migration". The family size of migrant workers is getting larger and become major group of the city population. Therefore it’s more and more important to make research on the migrant worker families.Among all the studies about Chinese migrant worker and migrant families, consumption model or consumption level are always one of most important topic. Both consumption behavior or consumption level will have direct influence on migrant worker’s living standard and social integration level. The migrant family is different from the urban family in several ways. That’s why I think the family structure of migrant families will have influence on their consumption level. I will use multi-linear regression to analyze the influence. After the analysis, I found the migrant family is younger and close to nuclear family. With the growth of family size, the working-age-family-member ratio will decrease and children ratio will increase, which means migrant works prefer to take their wife or children during the migration rather than other family member.By multi-linear regression analysis, I found that the age structure and family size will decrease the consumption level of family numbers. Relatively speaking, the single member family has the highest consumption level and Engel Index. And as the family size increasing, the family average consumption level will gradually decrease. At last, I think the research results may provide a reference for our country’s new urbanization policy. Because the migrant worker family’s consumption level is relatively low, it’s more important to increase the living standard of the migrant workers who are already in the city rather than to change rural area into modern cities.
