| Faced with the huge number of migrant workers,our country must accelerate the citizenization of migrant workers.The process of promoting the citizenization of migrant workers is the process of promoting the transformation of their consumption structure.Although migrant workers have higher incomes and certain consumption capacity,and they are influenced by the consumption concept and behavior of urban residents,they have stronger consumption desire than before.However,there is still a big gap between the consumption level of migrant workers and the consumption level of urban residents.Their consumption is still mainly based on survival consumption,lacking of developmental consumption and enjoyable consumption.This is for following reasons.In the process of integrating into city life,migrant workers are faced with higher income and expenditure uncertainty.In order to resist the impact of these uncertainties in daily life,they often choose to reduce current consumption behavior and increase preventive savings,and it leads to the phenomenon that "the money we want to spend is not spent".Based on the data from the questionnaire of Employment and Food Demand of Migrant Workers in Cities and Towns of China Agricultural University,this article firstly explains the consumption status of migrant workers through the holistic analysis and cross-over analysis,and measures the uncertainty of income and expenditure of migrant workers.On this basis,this article empirically analyzes the impact of income and expenditure uncertainty on the consumption structure of migrant workers.At the same time,considering that social insurance has the function of reducing uncertainty,this article further empirically analyzes the impact of social insurance on the consumption structure of migrant workers.The results showed that:(1)The reduction of income uncertainty will play an important role in promoting the growth of migrant workers’ survival,developmental and enjoyable consumption,especially in enjoyable consumption.(2)The reduction of uncertainty in expenditure will also bring important positive effects on the growth of the developmental consumption and enjoyable consumption of migrant workers,especially the developmental consumption,which has a higher growth rate than the enjoyable consumption.(3)The unemployment insurance has the most significant impact on migrant workers’ survival consumption;the endowment insurance promotes the growth of migrant workers’ developmental and enjoyable consumption;the medical insurance has a positive influence on consumption of three different levels;the industrial injury insurance mainly plays a positive role in the developmental consumption and enjoyable consumption,and the enjoyable consumption’s growth rate is higher than the developmental consumption’s growth rate.Finally,according to the above analysis results,this article puts forward the following two suggestions.The government can reduce the uncertainty of income and expenditure by improving the income level of migrant workers and the coverage rate of social insurance,so that the group of migrant workers can increase current consumption expenditure,and gradually change from "low-level consumption" to "high-level consumption". |
