Individual power has obvious influence and shape effects on the cognitive and behavior.Based on the review of existing research, a state-owned enterprise as the case, the effect of each variable on the power for the self-interest behavior of leaders. This study suggests thatpower itself does not necessarily lead to self-interest, but because the source of the legitimacy of the imbalance, the relationship and status of power and authority in the face of the threat of different situations, leaders tend to exhibit self serving behavior.First of all, the power and the eader position in an organization does not always match, when the two leaders may be due to imbalance, low status of supervision organization system is not perfect etc. showing self-interest more, and that self-interest is often economic profit oriented.Secondly, the classical research pointed out that the legitimacy is important for effective form of power, and the management and corporate governance more within the organization to discuss the issue of the legitimacy of the power of the leader. This study is considered a unique source of power within the organization of our country in the local context: the external forces of power legitimacy. Effective control of this power is often a lack of organization,leaders are often more individual goal deviate from the objectives of the organization.Therefore, it showed more self serving behavior.Third, the case shows the power of the leader will take when threatened self-interest, the response to the threat of power often hurt other people in the organization, and the highpower leaders have more capacity utilization has power to implement this kind of action, thisaction to stabilize the power as the goal, its essence is self oriented.The author tries to the above three variables on the power, build a suitable for the analysis ofthe leader the self-interest behavior model. Of course, this model gave up on multiple dimensions of the institutional context and personal traits of leaders to discuss, the authorbelieve that the choice in a certain degree is reasonable and necessary.Finally, the author on how to avoid the leader appeared self-interest behavior, based on the previous studies put forward several countermeasures, and points out that the above modelis established in this paper, several aspects may continue in-depth study.
