The Evaluation System Of Corporate Social Responsibility

Today,as social units,enterprises have more and more influence to the social life and economic development,they play important roles in our world. Since the 1980s, with the economic globalization, the scale and influence of enterprises expanded day by day,and the production of enterprises caused great damage to the society and natural environment.Therefore,corporate social responsibility movement which is conform to the sustainable development of enterprises gradually spreads all over the world.From the national level, enterprises fulfill the social responsibility actively will help to realize the sustainable development of enterprises and society, promote the formation of democratic rule of law, fairness and justice, keep stability and orderly situation, establish honesty and fraternal social atmosphere,realize the harmonious relationship between human and nature, then the comprehensive national strength and international influence will significantly increased. From the regional or industrial level, enterprises fulfill the social responsibility actively will contribute to regional economic development, help the formation of industrial standards and protect resources and environment. From the enterprise level, enterprises fulfill the social responsibility actively will help to save resources, reduce business risk, improve the competitive ability of the enterprise itself.At present,the Chinese economic growth are gradually slowing,environmental problems are becoming prominent,diffirent kinds of social contradictions are growing too.All these mean it is necessary to promote economic and social transformation and it is particularly important to promote all kinds of economic organizations especially enterprises fulfill the social responsibility actively. At present,the number of enterprises in the hubei province are nearly seven hundred thousand,and diffenent enterprises has different level in fulfilling social responsibility.Some enterprises went bankrupt because they did not fulfill its social responsibility or their social responsibility performance did not reached the designated position.Also some enterprises got market growth and got the favour of consumers,because of their excellent performance in fulfilling social responsibility.Whether from the perspective of government supervision, or helping corporates know their level in fulfilling social responsibility, or help the social public to choose products according to the level of the enterprise in fulfilling the social responsibility,it need a scientific and objective system to evaluate the situation of corporate social responsibility comprehensively in hubei province.This paper combines theoretical research.standard research and data analysis together.First of all.through the in-depth study in the basic theory of corporate social responsibility and comparing the international and domestic standards,policy,law and enterprises’s actual situation, it constructs a index system which can be used to evaluate corporate social responsibility. Then, it collects a large amount of data which is based on samples of hubei province,hunan province and the national average level.Hubei is the main sample,and the others are the reference samples. At third,it chooses scientific and objective methods to analysis the data, and finally get the general characteristics of the current situation of corporate social responsibility in hubei province. It may help for governments’s decision-making and supervision, corporates’s social responsibility performance, understanding of corporate social responsibility, etc.
