Family hotel as a new thing was developed with holidays. It has met the needs of the diversification of tourists and attracted the attention of visitors by its cheap prices and unique services. Hotels ran by Beidaihe community residents has become an important form of tourism development in Beidaihe. Beidaihe family hotel promoted the further development of tourism industry for poverty alleviation and the realistic social harmony. Meanwhile the development of Beidaihe family hotel industry promoted the rapid development of the local economy, increased the income of the local residents, helped visitors understand the local customs, and also played a role in environmental protection.In this article, Beidaihe family hotel industry was analyzed in depth, the present situation of Beidaihe family hotel management was understood, the problems existing in the development of Beidaihe family hotels was discovered, and the development direction of Beidaihe family hotel industry was found by through comprehensive literature analysis, questionnaire, depth interview method, comparative analysis, statistics, and meticulous research. The research results show that there is a competitive advantage in the domestic hotel industry development in Beidaihe-economical and practical, experience of the folk-custom folkway, more human and considerate service, which provided rich way to local residents. At the same time there is also competitive disadvantages--small scale, gap in the hardware and software from ordinary hotel, few services, low personnel quality, old-fashioned concept of management, the lack of product variety, under the threat of economic hotel, strong seasonality, unfair competition, all of which have serious impact on the development of family hotel. Therefore, this paper puts forward six business models suited to the development of Beidaihe family hotel industry (product integration business model, personalized and humanized management mode, brand management mode, Collectivize management mode, strategic alliance management mode, internet marketing business model) and six development countermeasures (unified planning, perfection in supporting facilities, standardized management, outstanding cultural theme, introduction of foreign advanced management concept).The text is divided into five chapters:first chapter is introduction, which focuses on the development, the present situation and the connotation of family hotels at home and abroad; Second chapter makes detailed and comprehensive analysis and research on Beidaihe family hotel based on the present situation of the exploitation of Beidaihe family hotel; The third chapter the advantages and disadvantages of Beidaihe family hotel are analyzed, and the advantages and disadvantages of Beidaihe family hotel in terms of competition has been fully understood; The fourth chapter:Suggestions for the industry management pattern of Beidaihe family hotel and the development countermeasures of family hotel, in which six suggestions for the business model of the development of Beidaihe family hotel and six development countermeasures are raised; The fifth chapter:research conclusion, shortcomings in the research and the outlook for the future.This thesis attempts to offer some reference for the family hotel operators and urge the relevant government to enact related policy and legal regulations as soon as possible to lead family hotels to develop in a healthy and standard way, meeting the growing need for people’s material and spiritual culture demand. It is hoped to increase the satisfaction of Qinhuangdao market, promote the prosperity of Qinhaungdao traveling market, and finally establish a good basis for the goals of’living suitability, employment suitability and travel suitability.
