Analysis Of The Trade Effect Of EU Anti-dumping Measure On Chinese Tile

Since China joined WTO in 2001, China’s trade with countries around the world have been becoming more and more frequent, and the European Union, which as a major trading partner of the China, its trade scale with China of all kinds of goods are in a rising state. The ceramic tile industry rises fast, and it occupies in the Chinese trade in an increasingly large share, obviously it has become one of the important export products of China. However, in recent years, the reemergence of trade protectionism of the European Union and other countries have frequently initiated anti-dumping under the slogan to protect domestic industries.China has become the biggest victim of anti-dumping, and the ceramic tile industry has also been a lot of influence. The topic of this paper has the following meanings: first, China has been the biggest exporter of ceramic tile, so it has a very far-reaching significance of ceramic tile industry in trade. Second, suggestions and countermeasures in this paper can help ceramic tile industry enterprises to avoid anti-dumping measures and those who are subjected to anti-dumping measures respond soon and effectively, by which it effectively reduces the losses caused by the anti-dumping measures. At last, this paper has some reference value for government departments to formulate relevant policies for the EU as an important trade partners, the government should exercise caution in the formulation of foreign trade policy. This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction, including the research purpose, the significance,domestic and foreign Literature review on anti-dumping actions, and the research ideas and methods. The second part is the analysis of anti-dumping and its effect in theory, and it expounds the definition, connotation of anti dumping, and the effects of various conditions and bring anti-dumping including the trade restriction effect trade diversion effect and upstream and downstream industry linkage effect. The third part is a detailed description of the 2010 EU anti-dumping cases initiated by China, including the whole process of the case, the verdict of the case and the focus of the dispute of the case. The fourth part use the data sunder the theoretical knowledge, to verify the trade restriction effect, trade diversion effect and related upstream and downstream effects, and concluded the relative conclusions. The fifth part is the policies and suggestions to the ceramic tile industry, which consist of three parts the government, enterprises and industry associations, three aspects of the proposal. By the analysis of the EU’s ceramic tile anti-dumping effect, this article draws the conclusion, the existence of trade restriction effect, trade diversion effect and related upstream and downstream effect of the anti-dumping measures.
