The eighteenth National Congress of the CPC has clearly marked that China should double its GDP of 2010 by 2020. Electric power construction is the foundation of the national economy. In 2013 the national installed capacity of power generation equipments has reached 1.23 Billion KW. According to the national development plan, the installed capacity will reach 1.5 billion KW by 2015 and 2 billion KW by 2020, which means nearly 0.1 billion KW new installed each year. In this connection, transmission and distribution equipment must also increase by a large margin in order to meet the matching requirements of power generation equipment. Therefore, the low-voltage electrical industry is a promising industry.This passage has given a detailed description of the situation and future of low-voltage electrical appliances market in China. Through a study to the development process, mechanism, product and technology innovation, production, operation of enterprise of Changshu Switchgear MFG. Co., Ltd., it has analyzed the market and environment of low-voltage electrical appliances according to Professor Michael Porter’s competitive strategy theory, using Porter’s Five Forces Model of strategic; it has also analyzed Changshu Switchgear’s position in the low-voltage electrical appliances industry and its competitiveness and found the weak link and outstanding ability in the development so as to open the company’s development strategy and goal. Then, combining the development trend of low-voltage electrical products, it has also analyzed the development strategy of the products to actively looking for new products area.Finally, on the basis of the analysis of the company’s strategic resources, external environment and competition, this passage has suggested the strategic measures for product development, marketing, enterprise culture and made the prospect of development:the overall development strategy of Changshu Switchgear is People-oriented, Excellent quality-supported; to be bigger and stronger in low-voltage industry; to be the best at home and challenge the abroad; not to stop for innovation to a sustainable development.
