Logistic Interface Integration Solution Between SAP And 3PL-WMS

Meanwhile get the logistic service provider into enterprise strategy, using the third party service is becoming a prefer choice. It will help its client spread up all business into the mainland of China and offer effective logistic operation. Involving modern logistic management strategy with Chinese market situation, speeding up the product distributing is a good way to meet many enterprises the local market requirement. More and more Top 500 enterprises are implemented ERP system and more than 90% of them are using one of best software with ERP management theory-SAP.Third party logistic has been well developed during China market and kept improving. With the reality for developing for China Pharmaceutical market, there are many great third party logistic enterprises in China, which has established the supply network of China and distribution channel is well covering China. Using third party logistic service provider for cost saving and getting the third party utilization margin is a decision point, which was considered into more and more enterprises’ strategy. But, how to manage third party logistic and how to communicated between third party logistic well is a must solved question. With corresponding between enterprise and its third party to control the inventory level, provide accuracy logistic transaction data to support enterprise’s planning, supply chain running. Meanwhile to consider other internal computer systems control requirement and keep internal and external business scenario integrity becomes an outstanding issue to solved.Per the requirement and issue raised above, this article takes P Company and S company as example. Analyzing the related business processes and involved business departments, collecting the requirement from sales department, purchase department, quality control department and planning department, points out the issues which should be solved urgently and touch points between ERP of P company and its third party logistic WMS system integrity via interface. It emphasized the important scenarios of article theme also. In terms of the different business of WMS and SAP and business information which are necessary to be changed with each other. Analyzing and design function via some middleware and platform, like GIS, J2EE, then realized the business solution about the interface for P Company and its third party logistic S company. With the interface solution two system and business team can easily to exchange business information and related control point from P company.The article has described the key technology which was utilized, data mapping, business scenarios mapping, middleware utilization, interface related designing and realization solution. Like B/S structure, SFTP connectivity, J2EE. And business mapping, data mapping and how to detail the interface solution were considered key points and difficult points.P company was become a group holding company after getting GSP license of pharmaceutical industry, which make P company want to spread up sales business to the whole market as soon sa possible, but manually entries and communicate with third party logistic company via email has to been changed to meet the new situation. Interface was come out to be a must way to solve the issue.I joined SAP implemented project as a team member, response for interface with Third Party Company. During blue print design, realization, testing, training, cutover and go live. Work from enterprise side I have worked with business key users with third party to perform the logistic business process redesign and customized some special cases. Finally we get the approval for the interface goes live and which is running well.Currently, the interface has been gone live between enterprise and third party logistic in production environment, which is stable and high performance. It was introduce to other companies of P group. The interface is helping P Company to get a high logistic performance and which save a lot for cost. P company get a lot of benefit from the auto-interface and its sales revenue is becoming larger and larger.The solution is also applicable for current China market companies and it logistic, it was a good example to realized the auto-interface.
