With the continuous development of economic society, the demand of energy is more and more big, the energy security challenges, energy shortages and competition for energy, region or country is the challenge for the moment, how to meet the demand of energy in competition is must solve the problem of the government and related department. Therefore, only get regional energy consumption of the dynamic information rapidly and accurately, grasp the specific situation of the energy consumption, to energy security challenges faced in the future, the contradiction between supply and demand of energy, the problems such as resource contention, reasonable allocation to optimize the structure of regional energy, meet the social demand for energy, maintain the stable development of social economy.Basic are based on the annual energy consumption data of Guangxi counties and cities of statistical yearbook data calculated step by step, not only time-consuming, and each level of statistical methods, the provincial statistics is the total energy consumption of the whole society, including the first, second, third industry’s total energy consumption, but the municipal statistical energy consumption data contains only above designated size industrial energy consumption, so the data between the difference is larger, two levels of application data is difficult to unity. So the related departments are difficult to grasp the dynamic change process of energy consumption of each level city in Guangxi, is difficult to formulate relevant energy policy. Geographic information system(GIS) technology and the combination of both the RS technology, powerful spatial data acquisition and analysis ability, can quickly and efficiently obtain energy consumption data, not only can combine statistical yearbook data and spatial geographic information data, on the scale of the 3 d building energy consumption pattern, to know the dynamic information of energy consumption and to predict the future energy consumption.Based on reading the DMSP/OLS night light data, on the basis of related literature, attempts to based on the traditional energy consumption statistical data, combining with the DMSP/OLS night light data, and the corresponding use geographic information system technology, mathematical statistics and analysis method of Guangxi district energy consumption data simulation model is established, and on the basis of the simulation model, based on the relevant properties of DMSP/OLS night light data information, building energy consumption simulation model of the prefecture level in Guangxi, so that it can on the basis of Guangxi district energy statistics to research and analyze the dynamic change of energy consumption of each district cities in Guangxi and its spatial pattern of energy consumption. At the same time the DMSP/OLS night light data for energy consumption in Guangxi research method to probe.The main research content is summarized as:(1) The collection of energy consumption in Guangxi, such as GDP, population statistics and DMSP/OLS night light data, administrative boundaries, such as spatial data, spatial information data set of energy consumption in Guangxi.(2) To introduce DMSP/OLS night light data, analysis of the data and statistics data, the TM data, the differences of land use planning data. The paper discusses the present situation of related research and application at home and abroad and the development direction, to use the data to study energy consumption situation of Guangxi provide scientific theoretical basis;(3) Combining with the relevant economic and social statistics, Guangxi from 1992 to 2012 the DMSP/OLS night light data analysis, using ARCGIS10 software and related mathematical methods of different sensors to different years DMSP/OLS revisions, eliminate uncertainty information, obtain stable night light data.(4) Using different regression analysis method to build different energy consumption simulation model of Guangxi, and the model simulation of energy consumption data of Guangxi, and then evaluate the accuracy of simulation, simulation model to determine the most suitable for the energy consumption data of Guangxi, the final energy consumption data to make use of GIS space, building energy consumption data set.(5) Using the results of the spatial data, spatial pattern of energy consumption in Guangxi, study the total energy consumption of each prefecture level annual energy consumption, energy consumption growth rate, etc., and combining the relevant space vector data expression, the energy consumption situation of each district cities in Guangxi.(6) In Guangxi district cities on the basis of energy consumption data set using the GIS spatial autocorrelation analysis technology to the level of energy consumption in Guangxi aggregation or dispersion pattern were analyzed, and research its space clustering model, on the relationship between the energy consumption between each prefecture level were discussed, and analysis of the factors of affecting the spatial distribution.
