For a long time, the Nordic model, with its unique way of development won the wide attention of the world, as its high level of social security system, innovation of the pattern of economic development and democratic multi-party parliamentary system is thought to be a model of social and economic development mode. But with the 2008 financial crisis globally expanding and deepening, the Nordic model has also been confronted with a serious challenge. With the announcement of "bankruptcy" at the beginning of the crisis, Iceland, the economy of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, suffered from an unprecedented blow. But its overall alleviation situation is still much better than that in central Europe, Western Europe and southern Europe mode. As our country is in the period of reform and development of the social security system, the research of social security system is particularly important and urgent. Nordic unique model of economic development and social welfare, and its challenges and countermeasures in the financial crisis can provide some experience and lessons for our country.Since the 1980s,the Nordic states introduced the new liberalism policy led by the United States which brought a severe financial crisis; the Nordic states had set up an effective risk management system, in response to the global financial crisis, which provides a certain basis and experience in 2008. But the flood of global international financial crisis has also failed to make the Nordic "escape", makes it suffered serious impact on the contrary.
