Research About The Choice Behavior Of The Agricultural Production Technology Of Vegetable Farmers In Zhejiang

With years of stable development, vegetable industry has become one of the tenleading industries of agriculture in ZheJiang Province, production and annual outputvalue of vegetables occupy first place in planting, and make an important contributionto increasing both production and income of ZheJiang farmers. However, theapplication of technology for vegetable production is still insufficient,and thehigh-tech application is also scarce. The weak basic technical force, unreasonablestaff structure and agricultural extension mode does not meet the farmers are affectingthe popularization and application of agricultural technology in vegetable production.This paper analyses current situation of vegetable industry and agriculturaltechnology extension in ZheJiang, the problem encountered in vegetable production,and put forward corresponding measures. Based on the analysis on the farmers ofpollution-free vegetable production technology “Knowledge-Attitude-Practice”,analyses the psychological and behavior process of the farmers from contact to applynew technology, as well as the role of agricultural technology extension work in theprocess of farmers chooses to adopt the new-tech. Built logit model with the samplesof146households of vegetable farmers on the choice of high yield technology, laborsaving technology, high quality technology to make an analysis. Research conclusion:The adoption of the technology for vegetable farmers is based on the knowledge andattitude to the tech, and agricultural technology promotion plays a vital role in thisprocess. Technology induced factors, namely the income of the farmers, the area ofland, labor endowment are the key factors to influence the vegetable farmers’production technology choices. In addition, household’s age, level ofeducation,agricultural income accounted for the family income,and frequency andmode of agricultural technology extension service are important factors to influencevegetable farmers production technology choice behavior.
