This paper analyzes the development trend of China’s polyester industry, China is almost occupied the main growth in global demand. Especially in the past twenty years, China with a skilled labor low labor cost is known and adequate supply can occupy a dominant position in the competition with other countries, to seize market share. However, with the continuous development of the world economy and China’s economy, China’s labor force especially skilled labor in coastal areas become very scarce, and labor costs are also rising. Advantages of our past have been in a disadvantage. Besides the increasing competition pressure from international market, the domestic market is also facing a severe test.More and more investors are increasing the investment on the whole industry, resulting in stage of excess production capacity, supply and demand of domestic polyester fiber market imbalance.In this paper, through the analysis of the development trend of international polyester chemical fiber industry, research and development of polyester fiber industry in China, and puts forward the existing development of polyester fiber industry in China, and then analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of polyester fiber industry, summing up the past polyester chemical fiber enterprises operating in the lesson, learn from polyester chemical fiber industry history and the success of the transition enterprise’s growth experience, and puts forward some suggestions for development of China polyester fiber industry. China’s polyester chemical fiber industry should speed up the adjustment of product structure, to develop and apply new techniques and devices, polyester chemical fiber enterprises need to control the cost in effectively, enhance the comprehensive competitive ability in the market, make the independent brand, to sustain a stable position in the fierce global competition market.
