| According to research, there are two phenomenon arousing attention in east Asiatrade practice: one is the significant increase about the proportion of intra-regionaltrade in east Asia. From1970to2012, the proportion of the east Asian intra-regiontrade in the total trade has accounted from19.8%to39.22%, and the proportion ofintra-region trade has increased all the time. Second, Chinese foreign trade withdifferent east Asia trade partner shows trade imbalance. On one hand, China-US tradeis high trade surplus year after year. On the other hand, it is the persistent trade deficito the east Asia trade partner. This article studys chinese foreign trade is turning to theintra-regional trade in east Asia article from the perspective of China. At the sametime, the article also analyzes the cause of Chinese trade problem.The first part introduces the study background, significance, method andinnovation..The second part introduces the theoretical basis.The basis is the Customs union,static effect of FTA and gravity model.The third part adopts the method of comparative analysis and the gravity modelto study the Chinese and foreign trade situation in east Asia during2000-2012fromthe perspective of China. On the basis of China and east Asia’s total import and exporttrade, trade dependency, intensity analysis and calculation to analyse the tradediversion static effect of CAFTA through the trade gravity model. Then it is concludedthat Chinese foreign trade has tend to the intra-regional trade in east Asia.The fourth part is to explain the Chinese trade diversion problem above. First,vertical specialization can cause the trade vertical specialization. Second, east Asia isthe mixture of developed countries and developing countries. And the east Asia is inthe process of trade integration in shallow level.
